The stately residence features mahogany-framed windows, causing natural light to be reflected and refracted outward. The home, which sits comfortably on a two-acre plot of land, has forged an [intimate relationship with the surrounding landscape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove). The architects designed the structure as a series of courtyards and cantilevered decks, ensuring dynamic views towards the southwest marina. The interior parallels the exterior in terms of design. Inside, the architects employed a geometric aesthetic using rectilinear volumes. The project description states, "Positive volumes are balanced atop negative creating a heightened tension and intrigue. A [glass-skinned through-way](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tranquil-abiding) connects and distinguishes the two dominant volumes, or towers, capturing light and adding to the sense of interior capaciousness." Outside, the house is anchored by a complementing palette of glass, limestone and stucco. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mahogany-framed Windows:** The use of mahogany-framed windows in architectural design offers an opportunity for innovative window solutions with enhanced aesthetic appeal. - **Geometric Aesthetics:** Utilizing geometric aesthetics in interior design presents a chance for incorporating unique shapes and forms to create visually captivating spaces. - **Glass-skinned Structures:** The use of glass-skinned structures in architectural design provides an avenue for creating transparent and light-filled spaces that seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor environments. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can explore the use of alternative materials and innovative window designs to create visually striking and energy-efficient buildings. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate geometric aesthetics to create unique and visually appealing spaces that enhance the overall experience of occupants. - **Building Materials:** The building materials industry can develop new glass products and techniques to create structurally sound glass-skinned buildings that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tranquil Riverside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chalk-river-house.md) - [Tranquil River-Overlooking Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/river-bend-residence.md) - [Floating Level Aesthetic Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oak-house-1.md) - [Thoughtful Lakeside Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakeside-living.md) - [Meadow-Overlooking Sleek Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac-1.md) - [Design Collection-Honored Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hudson-lhouse.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Luxurious Contemporary Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tropical-living.md) - [Water-Centric Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/10m.md)
