# Gentle Wakeup Apps The 'Rise' Alarm App for iPhone is a Masterpiece at Waking You Up By Jennifer Gosnell | Published 2012-12-26 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rise-alarm-app References: [mashable](http://mashable.com/2012/12/22/rise-alarm-clock-app/) & [itunes.apple](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rise-alarm-clock/id577221529?mt=8) If you, like most people, don't love being jolted out of bed by the sound of obnoxious clanging then you're going to love the 'Rise' alarm app for [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-snooze) and [iPad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brzzy-weather). The gorgeous app not only has a beautiful and peaceful interface, it also features some awesome sounds to gently awake you. To operate the snooze function, you only have to tap the screen once. To entirely shut the alarm off, all you have to do is glide your finger across the screen; the app itself could not be more simple. The app concept may seem redundant due to the free alarm that comes on any iPhone, but the actual function of the app surpasses the [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-smartsleep-connected-sleep-and-wakeup-light) version by lightyears. The $1.99 purchase is worth it in the long run for a beautiful way to wake up in the morning. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Soothing Alarm Apps:** Develop alarm apps with soothing sounds and peaceful interfaces to gently wake users up. - **Simple Alarm Controls:** Create alarm apps with easy, intuitive snooze and shut off controls to enhance user experience. - **Personalized Alarm Tones:** Design alarm apps with the ability to personalize alarm tones for a more unique and personalized wake up experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Mobile App Development:** Mobile app developers can create innovative and user-friendly alarm apps with unique features to stand out in the market. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics companies can explore partnerships or acquisitions with alarm app developers to expand their offering of wake-up devices and services. - **Health and Wellness:** Health and wellness companies can incorporate gentle wakeup apps into their portfolio of products to promote a more peaceful morning routine and overall well-being. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gentle Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-alarm-clock.md) - [Connected Sunrise Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-smartsleep-connected-sleep-and-wakeup-light.md) - [Silent Wearable Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silentwakeup.md) - [Chic Circadian Rhythm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hatch-restore-2.md) - [Branded Technology Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-snooze.md) - [Coffee-Brewing Sunrise Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optimrise-sunrise-alarm-clock.md) - [Phone-Free Bedtime Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hatch-restore-3.md) - [Silent Wake-Up Wristbands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wakeband.md) - [Accessibility-Focused Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/routine-alarm-clock.md)
