Lee explains that, "even though we live in different environments, at a certain point in time we feel the same when we look at an object." Her [hyperrealistic series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-flow) features a woman in an emotional reverie covered in black and white paint. The use of black and white symbolizes the binaries of human existence; that is, the differences and similarities we have with one another as individuals and within relationships. The finished result is an incredibly eloquent piece that articulates a [dramatic range of human expression](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anima).
