Architect Estudio Barozzi Veiga has created a unique building that presents a surprise once you step inside. The exterior of the Ribera del Duero Headquarters presents a stone building that gives off a feeling of the medieval ages. However, the interior is a [contemporary and sleek design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloisters-interiors) that makes you feel like you're in a state of the art museum. This new building design definitely exemplifies the idea of combining the old with the new to create a perfect look for right now. **Implications** - Consumers in contemporary society are looking for designs that push the limits on creativity. Coming out with items that customers haven't seen before could help a company attract a greater number of shoppers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Combining Old with New:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing products and designs that seamlessly blend traditional and modern elements to create unique and captivating experiences. - **Creative Design Exploration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pushing the boundaries of creativity to surprise and delight customers with innovative and unexpected design choices. - **Contemporary Historicism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating architectural designs that evoke the charm of historical eras while incorporating contemporary aesthetics and functionality. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Embracing the fusion of traditional and modern architectural styles to create visually stunning and distinctive structures. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Reimagining interior spaces by combining classic and contemporary design elements to create visually striking and immersive environments. - **Art and Sculpture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Challenging artistic conventions by blending historical and modern artistic styles to create thought-provoking and visually captivating artworks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Purpose-Built Terraced Wineries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quinta-de-adorigo.md) - [Renovated Contemporary Industrial Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burgatoi.md) - [Concealed Modern Barrel Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-nine-architects.md) - [Brutalist Museum Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cantabrian-maritime-museum.md) - [Stone Ruin-Transformed Spanish Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-1627.md) - [Wine Tourism Guest Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quinta-de-faisca.md) - [Stone Ruin-Upcycled Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atienza-maure-arquitectos.md) - [Corrugated Winery Sawtooth Roofs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tierra-tinta-winery.md) - [Natural Material-Focused Headquarters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/escritrio-da-engenharia.md)
