Of course, at the end of the day, it is also very interesting to see what the sets behind some of the more elaborate shows and movies are really like. For instance, 'Revealing Before-And-After VFX Shots' shows that the drop from The Wall in '[Game of Thrones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/15-pro-game-of-thrones)' is not as dramatic nor does the titular character in 'Life of Pi' actually interacting with [live animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animalsfilm). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **CGI Evolution:** The rapid advancements in computer generated imagery techniques have led to an evolution of the film industry that holds incredible potential for continued expansion and enhancement. - **Realism in Virtual Effects:** The continued integration of technology and art is resulting in increasingly realistic visual effects that can be used in entertainment and beyond. - **Transmedia Storytelling:** Visual effects are driving the creation of transmedia storytelling, allowing for innovative and immersive experiences across multiple platforms. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Film Production:** The film industry is on the cusp of a visual effects revolution with more realistic CGI offering new creative and cost-saving possibilities. - **Advertising:** Marketers are increasing their use of visual effects in their advertisements for greater impact and connection with their audiences. - **Gaming:** The gaming industry is constantly seeking ways to create increasingly realistic experiences, and visual effects are a key way to enhance both graphics and gameplay. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [AI-Generated Christmas Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christmas-posters.md) - [Mixed Reality Storytelling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storytelling-xr.md) - [AI-Powered Social Media Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hard-drive-reveal.md) - [Fandom-Honoring Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fandomhonoring-building-block-sets.md) - [Customizable Content Effects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-5.md) - [AI-Generated Retrofuturistic Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retrofuturistic-objects.md) - [TV Show-Generating AI Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fable-1.md) - [Imaginative Fantasy-Inspired Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canva-spotlights.md)
