Popular television shows have come a long way in their relatively short history, as is exemplified in the Movieweb 'Walking Dead' parody. Feeling nostalgic, the Movieweb team has posted an unfamiliar, lighthearted take on the [popular zombie show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stranger-things-and-sesame-street).

With cheesy music (the song is the introduction from Growing Pains), clever manipulation of scenes and [old-school fonts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telethon-for-hawkins), this recreation is surprisingly convincing and definitely hilarious. The retrofied clip includes some of the [gruesome zombie imagery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scary-good-campaign) that Walking Dead is known for, but turns the gory turmoil into a family-friendly story of perseverance.

The idea behind the creation is so simple, but the impact is strong. The video, and those like it, have been gaining a great deal of attention. Along with the general hilarity of the videos, they fabulously showcase the importance and power of editing.
