This is a great item for those music junkies who want to incorporate more [nostalgic decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-mixtape-kit) into their entertainment systems. The vinyl speakers are 12 inches wide and made out of actual [vinyl material](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vs01-bluetooth-vertical-turntable), which disguises the speakers to make it look more like a decoration. They can be placed onto your walls and be connected and controlled from your smartphone through NFC technology. The amazing part of the design is that you can control the volume by expanding the cone towards or away from yourself. These cleverly made retro speakers are a great addition to any entertainment system or space that requires a sound system without all of the ugly and bulky looking sound systems currently available. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Retro Decor:** Opportunity for businesses to create retro-inspired decor items that combine nostalgia with modern functionality. - **Smart Speaker Integration:** Innovative chance for companies to develop speakers that seamlessly integrate with smartphones, allowing for easy control and customization. - **Disguised Technology:** Potential for businesses to create tech products that are disguised as everyday objects, enhancing aesthetics while maintaining functionality. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Disruptive potential for home decor companies to design and manufacture retro-inspired technology products that blend seamlessly with vintage aesthetics. - **Audio Electronics:** Opportunity for audio electronics manufacturers to develop smart speakers that incorporate NFC technology for easy smartphone control and customization. - **Consumer Electronics:** Chance for consumer electronics companies to create tech products disguised as everyday objects, appealing to consumers who value aesthetics and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Retro Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-memory.md) - [Exposed Component Audio Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ampieq-sound-amplifier.md) - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md) - [Connected Retro Design Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ruark-r140-sound-system.md) - [Futuristic Old-Fashioned Phonographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-retro-player.md) - [Wine Bottle-Resembling Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-echo.md) - [Retro-Inspired Limited Speaker Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellame.md) - [All-in-One Turntable Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victrola-soundstage.md) - [Powerful Vintage-Inspired Stereo Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/klipsch.md)
