# Dismantled Gaming Console Posters Patrick Morgan Designs Art in the Likes of Retro Game Consoles By Megan Facciuolo | Published 2014-05-15 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-game-consoles References: [gadgetsin](http://gadgetsin.com/old-school-game-console-technical-poster-collection.htm) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/shop/BACKBACKPUNCH?ref=l2-shopheader-name) Retro game consoles are a dime a dozen. Gamers jump at any chance they have to get their hands on the consoles and their accessories, because really, who doesn't like classic games like Super Mario? Though these artworks aren't the physical gaming consoles, retro gaming fans will love these posters by [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock) shop owner Patrick Morgan just the same. The Berthiud-based designer illustrates technical and mechanical-looking posters of numerous consoles and their controllers. He included consoles like the N-64 and its tri-pointed controller in disassembled form. He even included items from the NES, [SNES](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-pixel-pocket) and [PS2](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anbernic-rg-477m) generations. All of them are highly detailed and are printed on Feltweave archival paper in order to make every piece unique. They are the perfect gift for gamers or even engineers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Retro Gaming Revival:** Opportunity re-emphasizes interest in older gaming consoles and allows for creative reimagining and reproduction of classic video games. - **Artful Gaming Designs:** Opportunity for original digital art designs, posters, and merchandise targeted towards the gaming community. - **Retrofuturism Aesthetic:** Opportunity to build on the trend of using design elements from the past to create a futuristic look. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gaming:** Opportunity for companies to innovate on retro gaming experiences both digitally and physically. - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for designers and artists to create and offer unique art and designs targeted towards gamers and collectors. - **Printing and Reproduction:** Opportunity for companies to provide unique printing and reproduction services for a range of products related to retro gaming and design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Compact Gamer Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-gaming-console.md) - [Industrial Handheld Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocketman-p1.md) - [Retro Arcade Circuit Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atari-1.md) - [AI-Supporting Art Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electronics-hub-art.md) - [Retro-Inspired Handheld Game Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sup-game-box-400.md) - [Building Block Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ps-one.md) - [See-Through Cartridge Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modretro-m64.md) - [Nostalgic 90s-Inspired Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analogue-3d-funtastic.md) - [Gamer-Designed Custom Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-controller.md)
