Now as a woman I can only hope to furnish my home with [Middle Ages-inspired pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bidri-furniture) like this Restoration Hardware desk. Although the desk might seem like a bit much, the appeal is in its romantic design. Made of [reclaimed teak](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodcarving-heritage), the Restoration Hardware desk was inspired by the architecture found in the [Classical period](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eriksberg). Hard-carved and antiquated for an authentic look, the desk is a stunning creation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Classical-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity for designers to create modern furniture pieces inspired by classical architecture. - **Reclaimed Materials:** Potential for businesses to explore the use of reclaimed materials in furniture design for a sustainable and unique product offering. - **Antiquated Design:** Space for innovation in blending traditional design elements with modern functionality for a timeless aesthetic. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Designers and manufacturers can capitalize on the demand for furniture pieces that exude historical charm. - **Sustainable Products:** Businesses specializing in sustainable furniture can incorporate reclaimed materials to meet customer preferences for eco-friendly options. - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can leverage classical-inspired furniture to create unique and visually appealing spaces for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architecture-Inspired Modular Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dust-order.md) - [Premium White Oak Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/byron-reeded-collection.md) - [Futuristic Sculptural Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk.md) - [Floating Architectural Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1949-protractor-desk.md) - [Multifunctional Solid Wood Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-classic-solid-wood-desk.md) - [Minimalist Monochromatic Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arqus-desk.md) - [Rerfeshed Historic Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloisters-interiors.md) - [Extravagant Handcrafted Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handcrafted-furniture.md) - [Medieval Design-Inspired Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/medival-design.md)
