# Kermit-Inspired Interiors The Residence in Dubai Design Finds it Pretty Easy Being Green By Alex Scott | Published 2010-04-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/residence-in-dubai-design References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Residence-in-Dubai/474451) & [creativeaffairs.es](http://www.creativeaffairs.es) Often just the words "[lime green](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highdensity-residential-design)" and "interior" will make people recoil in horror, but in some instances it actually works out quite well as evident in the Residence in Dubai design. Pictured here is a very [modern style condo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/one-domino-square) that is found throughout the city featuring all white walls and partitions with just a few brightly colored accents to tie the rooms together. The Residence in Dubai Design was a collaboration between ConteOggioniPartners and Joan Sebastian Plata and the end product is a luxurious, ultra-hip living space. Often an [all-white interior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edge-of-calm) can leave a space feeling too open and airy, but here it seems to work just right, actually creating more of a warm, inviting vibe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Green Interior Design:** Green interior design is a growing trend, providing opportunities for sustainable and eco-friendly innovation. - **Minimalist Design:** The trend towards minimalist design is growing, providing opportunities for innovative products that maximize function while minimizing material usage and environmental impact. - **Luxury Condos:** Luxury condos are becoming increasingly popular, providing opportunities for innovative design solutions that emphasize style, comfort, and functionality. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can take advantage of the green interior design trend by developing sustainable and eco-friendly solutions for homes and commercial spaces. - **Architecture:** The architecture industry can leverage the minimalist design trend by developing innovative building designs that optimize space and material usage, while reducing environmental impact. - **Real Estate:** The real estate industry can benefit from the luxury condo trend by developing high-end, stylish living spaces that cater to the needs of discerning buyers and renters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Serene Desert Villa Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/al-mahra.md) - [Bathroom-Centric Dubai Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bone-studio.md) - [Jazz Lifestyle-Inspired Dubai Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natalia-contova.md) - [Green Marble-Adorned Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-brocca.md) - [90s-Inspired Vibrant Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holboro-house.md) - [Surreal Kyiv Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apartment-with-a-lizard.md) - [Colour Immersion Hotel Suites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mandarin-oriental-suite.md) - [Kerala-Based Modern Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-next-door-project.md) - [Geometric Colorful Residential Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphic-house.md)
