This innovative life preserver was invented by Baek Mi Young as a way to keep fishermen safe without encumbering their work. The Rescue Tube is contained in a small clip-on container. You can simply pull the bottom half of the container to inflate it, making it great for fishermen, but also for recreational boaters who feel that they're 'too cool' for life jackets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Compact Life Preservers:** Innovative, compact wearable flotation devices for safety on water. - **Quick-inflate Technology:** Developments in rapid inflation technology for flotation devices. - **Fashionable Flotation Devices:** Flotation devices that cater to recreational boaters' aesthetic preferences. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Marine Safety:** Opportunities for manufacturing and distribution of innovative, compact wearable flotation devices for safety on water. - **Boating:** Developments in rapid inflation technology for flotation devices for recreational boaters who prioritize ease and aesthetics. - **Fishing:** Opportunities for businesses to market wearable flotation devices that do not encumber work for fishermen. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Under-Arm Rescue Floatation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ua80-evolution-vest.md) - [Flatpack Oceanic Lifeboats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fold-and-rescue-lifeboat.md) - [Plastic Bottle Lifejackets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bot-lifejacket.md) - [Self-Propelling Controlled Buoys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usafe.md) - [Self-Inflating Kids Swimwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-swimwear.md) - [Inflatable Rescue Stretchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-rescue-stretcher.md) - [Inflatable Hydrofoil Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lift-blowfish.md) - [Unsinkable Metal Vessel Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminum-tubes.md) - [Self-Inflating Bicycle Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bumpair-20.md)
