He has designed [curved wooden platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/same-same) where the chairs can be strapped on. There are two sizes of platforms - the smaller one is for single chairs whilst the larger one can accommodate both a chair and [a crib](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/click-and-fold). Now that would put both a baby AND the parent to sleep! The designer says, 'Like an entry level roller skate that can be strapped under any shoe, the rocker is an adaptable extension that turns any stool or chair into a toy." The platforms are made from solid ash and produced by Batch Design in Brighton. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Repurposed Furniture:** Opportunity to repurpose old furniture by enabling adaptability and extending its functionality. - **Enhanced Comfort:** Opportunity to provide enhanced comfort by incorporating rocking chair platforms in furniture designs. - **Sustainable Design:** Opportunity to promote sustainability by repurposing furniture instead of discarding it. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore incorporating rocking chair platforms into their designs to offer innovative and versatile products. - **Parenting Products:** Opportunity for parenting product companies to create innovative solutions for parents and babies by combining a chair and a crib on a larger platform. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage repurposed furniture as an opportunity to create unique and sustainable designs for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [Rocking Table-Mounted Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espattio-platero-rocking-table.md) - [Rocking Outdoor Chair Attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocking-feet.md) - [Youth-Ready Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-rocker-1.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Pouffe Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platero.md) - [Geometric Rocking Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oval-rocking-chair.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-rocking-chair.md) - [All-Ages Portable Rockers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-rocker.md)
