Istanbul studio Erginoğlu & Çalışlar worked on the renovation for the Amburan [Beach Club](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ibiza-beach-club), a facility located in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.

The architects designed a [curving concrete canopy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aruma-restaurant) to surround the perimeter of the club, supported by hundreds of columns. The central pool is surrounded by [stepped terraces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balnea-spa), providing space for sunbathing, bars and cafes. Though narrow, the plot stretches over 14 acres of the city's Amburan district, and features several dispersed entertainment facilities. In order to integrate the buildings into the new scheme, the architects remodeled their facades for better assimilation.

The homogenous white surfaces and their curves work to unite the physical structure of the club and reflect sunlight away from it. The fluid, free-flowing design was inspired by Brazilian beach culture, specifically the work of architect Oscar Niemeyer.
