The company announced that it has made over a $2 billion investment in renewable energy infrastructure projects in a number of different locations including the United States, South America, and Europe. In total, the investments will increase Google's sustainability efforts by 40%. Google has also indicated that this is the largest corporate investment in sustainability. Notably, the solar investment projects are located in farms in North Carolina, South Carolina, as well as Texas.
