# All-Black Remote Sauna Buildings Matteo Foresti's Structure is Located in the Värmdö Municipality By Kalin Ned | Published 2019-10-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remote-sauna References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2019/10/23/sauna-r-matteo-foresti-black-sauna-sweden/) & [matteoforesti](https://matteoforesti.com/) Remote saunas are not only calming in terms of the services provided, but they are also tranquil because of their geographical location. Set amid the rocks and greenery, [Sauna R](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fjord-floating-sauna) was designed by architect Matteo Foresti and it occupies land on an island within the Stockholm archipelago. The silhouette of the remote sauna is simple and rectangular. Its [all-black aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smoke-lake-cabin) communicates strong contemporary sensibilities, while the fully glazed front -- the entrance presents a series of sliding glass doors, enables breathtaking views of the sea for visitors. The interior boasts a sophisticated and highly luxurious appeal. The elegant stone floor extends beyond the walls of the remote sauna and into the outdoors, forming "space for sitting and taking in the view and fresh air."
