From July 1st to November 1st, 2009, the “Remember Jan Kaplicky - Architect of the Future” exhibit will be on display at the [Design Museum in London](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rene-gailhoustet).

Kaplicky, who passed away earlier this year, was the head of a conceptual architecture company, [Future Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-collection), which has designed and put into production some of the most beautiful and innovative buildings throughout the world.

His style emanated a true vision and understanding of the future and he was never afraid to break barriers no matter how ridiculous an idea was.

Among buildings, Kaplicky also designed [solar powered vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milan-design-week-2025), electric cars, jewelery, bikinis and double-decker buses.

He will be missed.
