Dansk Magazine’s autumn 2008 spread is really beautiful. I love its well-executed chiaroscuro lighting and the shadowy sets, but most of all, I marvel at the [religious iconography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luce) displayed by the publication.

[Fashion magazines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/what-should-i-wear) and religious institutions have always had a very uneasy relationship. For the former, displaying [overtly religious motifs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alessandro-micheles) on their publications increase the potential shock value incrementally and hopefully, they believe, sales will follow suit. As for the latter, well, they can always add to their long list of sins.
