The startup-movie company plans to create a high-tech [interactive movie theater experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/universal-horror-unleashed) inspired by amusement parks by 2017. Along with [immersive 360-degree screenings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersion-vr), other [interactive film experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/escape-the-afterlife) will give visitors the chance to interact with actors in character. With props, people attending a movie would also be able to live out parts of a movie on a stage, making it possible for them to step into the shoes of a character themselves. In the hopes of increasing theater attendance and making the movie-going experience more exciting, ReelXperience Entertainment is now looking to partner with movie studios to make this concept cinema real. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **High-tech Movie Experience:** There is an opportunity to create immersive and interactive movie experiences by incorporating high-tech elements like 360-degree screenings and actor interaction. - **Amusement Park-inspired Theaters:** The concept of creating movie theaters inspired by amusement parks can revolutionize the theater industry by providing a more exciting and engaging experience for viewers. - **Interactive Film Experiences:** Introducing interactive film experiences where moviegoers can physically engage with props and step into the shoes of a character can offer a unique and disruptive innovation in the movie industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Movie Theater Industry:** Incorporating high-tech elements and amusement park-inspired concepts can drive growth and attract more customers to the movie theater industry. - **Film Production Industry:** Partnering with ReelXperience Entertainment to create interactive film experiences could open up new avenues for movie studios to engage viewers and enhance the movie-watching experience. - **Entertainment Technology Industry:** The development of high-tech movie experiences and immersive screenings presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the entertainment technology industry to provide innovative solutions and technologies for the theater industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Multimedia Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-pictures-wonderverse.md) - [Immersive Digital Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-reel-store.md) - [Mixed-Reality Theme Parks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixedreality-theme-park.md) - [Projector-Replacing Cinema Screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cinema-led-screens.md) - [Large-Format Cinematic Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/largeformat-experience.md) - [Experiential Entertainment Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illuminarium-1.md) - [Cinematic Projector Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xgimis-horizon-max.md) - [Immersive Holographic Zoos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hologram-zoo.md) - [Olfactory Entertainment Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moviescent.md)
