The teapot was designed by UK-based freelance product designer Sarah Reed who was in search of a more consistent way to craft the [perfect cuppa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection). The teapot is thus designed with a patent-pending design to automatically, with no electronic components, separate the [tea leaves from the final brew](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/japanese-drinkware) by harnessing the water itself. The REEDesigned Teapot is constructed with an eco-friendly design that includes borosilicate glass along with polypropylene and PMMA, which are more sustainable than other material options. The teapot is paired with a [woven stainless steel mesh filter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aarke-coffee-press) to prevent tea leaves from being left in the finished brew.
