Redmi's RedmiTouch Screen Speaker 8 is the brand's "first facial and voice recognition-enabled smart display inspired by Xiaomi’s Mi AI touchscreen speaker Pro 8 smart display and by Amazon Echo Show."

The device boasts an 8-inch touchscreen display, 178-degree viewing capabilities and is compatible with six video streaming platforms. In addition to its tv streaming features, the RedmiTouch Screen Speaker 8 also includes an HD camera, making the product suitable for video calling. Moreover, the device is recommended as an educational tool for children that is ideal for study or story time.

Featuring biometric facial recognition technology, Redmi's new product ensures privacy by identifying specific users. For example, the device will identify child users to ensure parental controls and a child-friendly interface are activated.
