# Flight Mode Power Banks RedMagic Power Bank Adds Flight Mode Button for New Airline Battery Rules By Amy Duong | Published 2026-05-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redmagic References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/05/20/redmagics-power-bank-has-a-flight-mode-button-to-meet-new-airlines-regulations/) The [RedMagic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redmagic-dao) power bank introduces a dedicated “flight mode” switch designed to comply with updated airline regulations affecting lithium battery devices. The feature is intended to disable active output functions during air travel, aligning with stricter rules that require power banks to be switched off or non-operational during flights. New aviation policies in 2026 restrict the use and charging of power banks onboard, with limits on storage, usage, and carry conditions across multiple airlines. The device retains standard [portable charging functionality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chong-yue-3rd-gen-power-bank) for smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered electronics, while the added switch provides a physical control for disabling output when required by flight rules. The update responds to broader aviation safety changes introduced to reduce risks associated with [lithium battery overheating incidents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bmx-solidsafe-5k), which have led to tighter global enforcement of power bank handling in cabins.
