The Redhead Alterations project was completed in Australia, and Bourne Blue Architecture, the team responsible for the design, aimed to make the place both chic and [eco-friendly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/three-oaks-farm).

To make the space as safe for the environment as possible, the firm put together a contraption that catches rainwater on the roof, which is then filtered and re-used inside the house. While it may sound slightly unsanitary for some, the system is perfectly safe and helps to conserve the water consumption of the residence. Other energy-saving initiatives were put in place for the house too. For making the house look good, Bourne Blue Architecture used a very [open concept at the ground level](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-waverley-house) that makes up the living room and dining area, which both open up to the [garden area at the back](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waverley-house).
