[Ella's Kitchen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oaty-smooshies) is a pioneer brand in healthy baby food and have now begun to pioneer a recycling initiative to address the issue of the brand's pouch packaging not being collected by most localities.

Titled Ellacycle, the new program from the UK-based baby food company and recycling organization Terracycle will feature collection points in public places such as nurseries and retailers that carry the products.

While [pouch packaging for baby food](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiddylicious-baby-food-pouches) is increasingly popular, Ella's Kitchen is one of the first brands to recognize the need for a purpose-driven recycling initiative given that many items sold in such packaging are likely to be ending up in landfills.

For every 100 pouches returned, Ella's Kitchen will donate 2 Pence per pouch to the charity or nursery indicated on the collection bin.
