If you noticed that your [Cadbury](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cadbury-easter-products) Mini Eggs came in a different package this year, that's because they were sold in a new recycled plastic candy packaging.

For Easter 2026, the food brand [Mondelēz International](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chemically-recycled-content) teamed up with [Amcor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amcor-and-lorenz-snacks) to create recycled plastic candy packaging for its seasonal Cadbury chocolate range. With the goal of making Easter a more sustainable holiday, the new Cadbury Mini Eggs were sold in bags made from 65% certified recycled plastic packaging. Additionally, the small and large Easter Cadbury tablets were sold in packages made from 80% certified recycled plastic. The recycled packaging was made using Amcor’s AmFiniti Recycled Content, which converts post-consumer plastic waste into new materials. Thanks to the initiative, 134 tonnes of post-consumer plastic was recycled, which is the equivalent of 70 million bags of Mini Eggs.
