[H&M](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hm-2) has launched a new initiative that involves making fabulous new garments out of recycled apparel. While fast fashion is not usually considered a sustainable source of clothing, many of these apparel companies have been making significant efforts adopt more eco-friendly practices. H&M's latest initiative attempts to make the industry a little bit more green by reusing old textiles.

The new collection is the result of a collaboration between H&M and the [Centre for Sustainable Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chroma-twist) at the [London College of Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-sustainable-spritz). To produce the new garments, H&M asked a number of second-year students to use fabric and textiles from the brand's clothing donation program to make completely new pieces. The resulting pieces are not only sustainable, but they are also fashion-forward.

The stunning recycled attire is set to be available for purchase in eight different H&M stores throughout the UK.
