Gramovox is a design firm located in Chicago and the brand's record player designs are striking in design as well as aesthetic. The record player features a flat, wooden base complete with a vertical needle that stands upright. The vinyl stands upright as well being held in place with a belt that loops around the circular shape. This record player's unconventional design highlights the record's aesthetic and artwork by standing it up rather than having the disc sitting flat and hidden on the record player's surface. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vertical Record Players:** The levitating vinyl players showcase a trend of vertical record player designs that enhance the visual appeal of the discs. - **Visual-centric Audio Devices:** The standing record player design taps into the trend of audio devices that prioritize visual aesthetics to create a captivating user experience. - **Innovative Record Player Designs:** The unconventional design of the Gramovox record player demonstrates a trend in pushing the boundaries of traditional record player designs for a more unique and appealing offering. ### Who This Affects Most - **Audio Equipment Manufacturing:** The vertical record player trend presents an opportunity for audio equipment manufacturers to create visually engaging and innovative products that stand out in the market. - **Interior Design:** The visual-centric nature of the levitating vinyl players opens up possibilities for interior designers to incorporate these striking record players as decorative elements in their designs. - **Art and Music Merchandise:** The innovative record player designs provide an opportunity for artists and musicians to collaborate with manufacturers in creating unique merchandise that showcases their artwork and music in an interactive way. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vertical Vinyl Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vs01-bluetooth-vertical-turntable.md) - [Style-Conscious Record Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upright-vinyl-record-player.md) - [Retro-Modern Turntable Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-turntable-concept.md) - [Contemporary Vertical Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toverse.md) - [Elegant Upright Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blok-turntable.md) - [Sleek Vertical Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniot-wheel-3.md) - [Record-Cleaning Vinyl Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crescent-turntable.md) - [Ultra-Modern Record Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-record-players.md) - [Floating Wall-Mounted Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco-volante-turntable.md)
