You might think such a medium would be restricting, but not for Rebecca. The pieces she has created using only strips of plastic and electrical tape are nothing short of incredible. Her expansive tape-made creations envelop whole rooms, wrap pillars and in some cases are [even used instead of wallpaper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-surfaces). The geometric shapes created by the tape works create [optical illusions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripples-collection) that will have you squinting your eyes and taking a second look. Rebecca's latest [tape creations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-folklore) are currently on show at London's 'Ronchini Gallery' this April. The show is entitled 'Cow Tipping.' These pictures show the amazing transformations a bit of tape can make to an interior and might inspire you to make some tape art in your own home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Tape Art:** Exploring the artistic potential of tape as a medium for creating stunning illusions. - **Optical Illusion Design:** Using geometric shapes and patterns to create captivating visual effects in interior design. - **DIY Tape Art:** Inspiring individuals to create their own tape art installations in their homes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Opportunities for artists to explore new mediums and techniques, pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating tape art and optical illusion design into interior spaces to create visually striking and immersive experiences for customers. - **Home Decor Retail:** Providing tape art materials and DIY kits for individuals interested in creating unique tape art installations in their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [CD-Comprised Towering Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stratagems.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Artist-Designed Wallpaper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallpaper-collection1.md) - [Intricate Fiber Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threadwork-women-redefining-fiber-arts.md) - [Handwoven Colorful Tapestries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versus-edition-one.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Sculptural Mixed-Media Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes.md) - [Solar Panel Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-tapestry.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md)
