The two are longtime partners and the new 14 Pro Series 5G model is designed with a cold-sensitive back panel which changes colors. It shifts from a pearly white color and transforms to a bright blue when it is in contact with temperatures under 16°C (61°F). The visual effect is exclusive to the pearl white iterations of the phone, which is also available in the 14 +Pro edition as well. It uses an advanced [thermochromic pigment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-optical-fiber-technology) that directly reacts to temperature changes. Notably, the back panel also has organic seashell powder, so each pattern is unique to its own with the special 30-step manufacturing process.
