# Silly News Station Spoofs The 'Really Fox News?' Tumblr Exposes the Station's Outrageous Moments By Souzan Michael | Published 2011-12-16 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/really-fox-news-tumblr References: [reallyfoxnews.tumblr](http://reallyfoxnews.tumblr.com/about) & [reallyfoxnews.tumblr](http://reallyfoxnews.tumblr.com/) It's no secret that Fox News is one of the most (if not the most) criticized news stations in the United States, and the 'Really Fox News?' [Tumblr](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumblr-campaign) exposes just why that is. Featuring some truly [outrageous and unbelievable headlines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/absurd-content), like 'Are Liberals Trying to Brainwash Your Kids Against Capitalism?' which questions the supposed brainwashing tendencies of The Muppets movie. My personal favorite post is a shot of Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine's now infamous tweet that says "Dear Fox News, don't play [our music](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/favesfm) on your evil f***ing channel ever again. Thank you." The 'Really Fox News?' Tumblr was started over two years ago and states it "is committed to exposing the Fox News Corporation as a propaganda machine that knowingly broadcasts false, biased, racist, and factually incorrect information in order to further a warped, conservative political agenda." Check it out for some laughs and even some eye-opening information. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Outrageous Headlines:** Opportunity to create alternative news platforms that focus on providing accurate and unbiased information. - **Exposing Propaganda:** Potential to develop tools and technologies that can fact-check news sources and expose biased reporting. - **Satirical Journalism:** Possibility to create satirical news outlets that use humor to critique mainstream media and promote critical thinking. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Media:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to establish new media channels that prioritize transparency and truthfulness. - **Tech:** Potential to develop AI-powered algorithms or browser extensions that can identify and debunk misinformation. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity to create comedy shows or web series that satirize biased news reporting and promote media literacy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Novelty Polling Websites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funnypoll.md) - [Tween-Targeted Weekly News Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/first-stop-news.md) - [Positive Social Media Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumblr-campaign.md) - [Satirical News Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-satire-news.md) - [Creative Online Social Networks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bf-island.md) - [Fun-Centered Social Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buzzfeed-island.md) - [Nonstop News Audio Channels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tunein-sky-news-channel.md) - [Youthful News Sources](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/news-sources.md) - [Music Updates Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-news.md)
