The Montessori Method of education requires that children feel inherently comfortable in their learning environment, and [the Ratchut School in Thailand](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-educational-architecture) is design according to those tenets. The school, which was created by 'Design in Motion', is meant to resemble a home rather than a typical schoolhouse, and it does so by splitting the space into rooms that more closely approximate a living space.

Because Montessori schools allow children to self-select the areas that they want to investigate, the various [rooms and spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deya-day-care) in Ratchut School are dedicated to different sections of the loosely prescribed [Montessori curriculum](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spring-dales-public-school), and students are encouraged to venture into these areas freely (under the supervision of their teachers, of course).
