The kit is said to include a "Google Voice Hardware Attached on Top (HAT) accessory board, a stereo microphone Voice HAT board, a large arcade button and a selection of wires," along with a basic cardboard fitting for all of the components. Once the project has been assembled with Raspberry Pi, the device has the potential to work in the same way as the smart Google [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-home-automation-switch) speaker, enabling makers with the right know-how to build their own voice-controlled systems to add an element of interactivity to their home environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **DIY Smart Hub Kits:** Opportunity for makers to create their own voice-controlled systems for home automation. - **Voice Interaction:** Growing demand for voice-controlled technology in consumer electronics. - **Raspberry Pi Projects:** Increasing popularity of Raspberry Pi for DIY electronics and automation. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Automation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to offer customizable voice-controlled solutions for smart homes. - **Consumer Electronics:** Potential to develop voice-controlled devices to cater to the rising demand for user-friendly products. - **DIY Electronics:** Opportunity to create and market DIY kits for building voice-controlled systems using Raspberry Pi. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gamified Smart Home Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/majordom-smart-home-hub.md) - [Microcontroller Device Integrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raspberry-pi-2.md) - [Introductory Connected Device Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plug-and-make-kit.md) - [Immersive AI Household Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-home-speaker.md) - [Complete Mechanical Desktop Bundles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raspberry-pi-6.md) - [AI-Powered Smart Home Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-home-hub.md) - [Smart Hub Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-pixel-tablet.md) - [Open-Source AI-Powered Home Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchbot-ai-hub.md) - [Pocket-Friendly Games Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocketfriendly-games-console.md)
