# Grilled Ramen Sandwiches This Grill Cheese Creatively Substitutes Bread Slices for Ramen Noodles By M | Published 2014-07-07 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ramen-nooldes References: [dudefoods](http://dudefoods.com/the-ramen-noodle-grilled-cheese-sandwich/) & [dudefoods](http://dudefoods.com/) If you’re tired of conventional Kraft cheese slices and white bread grill cheeses, you can follow in the footsteps of Nick from [Dude Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheesy-dude-sandwich) and make a grill cheese with two packs of [Ramen noodles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chili-garlic-ramen). To make this mouth-watering Ramen grill cheese, Nick cleverly beings by boiling two packs of instant noodles. After the noodles have been drained out, they’re fried up with an egg so that the noodles stick better together. The noodles can then be cut into square bread-like shapes and cooled in the fridge. Once the noodles have slightly hardened, you can use them as bride slices and make your very own noodle grill cheese. This grill cheese will have a bit more of a crunch to it but it’ll taste just as good, if not better, than the original. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Grilled Ramen Sandwiches:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: exploring unconventional ingredients and techniques to create unique and flavorful grilled cheese sandwiches. ### Who This Affects Most - **Food and Beverage:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: creating new and innovative sandwich options using unconventional ingredients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Heat-and-Eat Grilled Cheese Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunchables-grilled-cheesies.md) - [Layered Grilled Cheese Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/double-royale-grilled-cheese.md) - [Premade Gourmet Grilled Cheeses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourmet-grilled-cheese.md) - [Grill-Ready DIY Dishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craftyyaki.md) - [Kimchi Grilled Cheese Tutorials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kimchi-toastie.md) - [Comfort Food QSR Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hardees-grilled-cheese.md) - [Grilled Cheese Swatch Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/borden-grilled-cheese-swatch-book.md) - [Grilled Cheese Burger Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grilled-cheese-cheeseburger.md) - [Asian-Inspired Sliders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asian-inspired-sliders.md)
