Featuring a series of recycled windows, the cubed space is visually intriguing, putting emphasis on scale and proportion. Playful and imaginative, this building showcases a variety of window shapes and sizes, collected from a nearby building demolition site. Grouped together, these windows form the studio's facades, complementing a ceiling made up of doors. This fun and functional Rake Showroom is an [interactive art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/netherlands-pavilion) that raises discussion on the topic of eco-freindly design. Proving that recycled materials can be a valid building medium, the project serves as a social commentary on society's habit to discard useable windows when demolishing a building. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Recycled Materials:** Exploring innovative ways to repurpose and reuse materials for sustainable design. - **Interactive Art Installations:** Creating immersive and engaging experiences that spark conversations and raise awareness. - **Eco-friendly Design:** Promoting the use of environmentally conscious practices and materials in architectural projects. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture and Design:** Opportunity to incorporate recycled materials and interactive elements into building designs for a more sustainable and engaging future. - **Construction and Demolition:** Potential for implementing strategies to salvage and repurpose materials during demolition processes, reducing waste and environmental impact. - **Sustainability and Green Building:** Innovation in sustainable design and construction, focusing on eco-friendly materials and practices to create environmentally conscious structures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Conical Glass Pavilion Wineries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-panorama-pavilion.md) - [Adaptive Backyard Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-shack-1.md) - [Recycled Ship Sail Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breeze-installation.md) - [Plant-Based Guesthouse Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rooted-potential.md) - [Pyramid-Roof Glass Greenhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-pavilion.md) - [Everyday Material Colorful Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-pavilions.md) - [Serene Waterfront Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lake-house-life-experience-pavilion.md) - [Reconfigurable Timber Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arkhive.md) - [Modular Cob Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heal-home-hmm.md)
