This bench was designed by OneTwo out of odds and ends of rain pipes. Almost everything made produces scraps. Most scrap parts are thrown away when they could be upcycled into something awesome like the Rainwater Pipe Bench. Keeping scraps, especially [plastic ones out of landfills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ruffini), could easily be accomplished with innovative designs like those of OneTwo. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Upcycling:** Exploring innovative designs that repurpose scrap materials like the Rainwater Pipe Bench. - **Sustainable Seating:** Creating eco-friendly seating options using upcycled materials, as exemplified by the Rainwater Pipe Bench. - **Environmental Responsibility:** Promoting the idea of keeping plastic scraps out of landfills through creative and functional designs such as the Rainwater Pipe Bench. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Integrating upcycled materials into furniture design for a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious product line. - **Eco-friendly Design:** Incorporating innovative ways to reduce waste and promote sustainability within the design industry, such as the use of upcycled materials showcased in the Rainwater Pipe Bench. - **Urban Infrastructure:** Revitalizing public spaces through the implementation of environmentally-friendly seating solutions, like the Rainwater Pipe Bench, that repurpose materials and reduce waste. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Recycled Dynamic Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair.md) - [Contemporary Upcycled Bright Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remix-maison-1.md) - [Chic Recycled Aluminum Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bello-bench.md) - [Threshold Bench Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torii.md) - [Repurposed Brick Public Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-public-furniture.md) - [Waste Tarp-Made Public Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/membran-collective.md) - [Sculptural Public Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-public-seating.md) - [Sustainable Paper-Infused Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/detalji-bench.md) - [Sleek Public Seating Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leftover-bench.md)
