The Raining Poetry series shows that there are beautiful things that can be seen only on the dreariest of days -- or at the very least at the end of such days. Mass Poetry, a nonprofit based in Boston, has created a series of [graffiti-inspired artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1) that only reveal itself after a downpour. Hence the name, "Raining Poetry."

The first four Raining Poetry picks were chosen by Danielle Georges, the city's Poet Laureate. She was inspired by the [watery theme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rain-experience) and appropriately picked works from Langston Hughes, Elizabeth McKim, Barbara Helfgott Hyett, and Gary Duehr -- all of whom also played big roles in Boston's literary and cultural scenes. Thus the project comes full circle beautifully.
