Carmasaic explains that the initial design for the rainbow roller was inspired by the popular internet meme, the 'Nyan Cat.' While most paint rollers can only transfer a single color at a time, Carmasaic's invention is able to paint 10 different colors at once. The colors are placed in accurate order and seamlessly blend to create the perfect rainbow design. In his step-by-step guide, Carmasaic explains how to turn a regular paint roller into a rainbow rolling device. To complete the tutorial, users will need an [acrylic paint set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Demon-Slayer-Paint-Kit), an acrylic sheet, a nonabsorbent sponge, an ultra-absorptive kitchen cleaning sponge, a paint roller, superglue and a hand file. While this DIY project is time-consuming, the end result creates a handy rainbow paint roller that will help you paint beautiful rainbow designs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **DIY Rainbow Paint Rollers:** Creating multi-color paint rollers for more vibrant and diverse painting experiences. - **Handheld Color Blending:** Incorporating technology and design to seamlessly blend multiple colors for a cohesive and visually stunning outcome. - **Customizable Painting Tools:** Providing individuals with the ability to personalize and modify their painting tools for unique artistic expressions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art Supplies:** Opportunities for manufacturers to develop paint roller systems that allow users to easily switch between multiple colors. - **Home Improvement:** Introducing innovative painting tools that enhance the creativity and efficiency of DIY home projects. - **Craft and Hobby:** Catering to hobbyists and DIY enthusiasts by offering specialized painting accessories that enable unique artistic techniques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colour Shift Clear Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-roller.md) - [High-Frequency Paints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yolo-paint.md) - [Vibrant Pride Month Makeup](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bright-rainbow-highlighter.md) - [Rainbow Sprinkle Cake Mixes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chromatic-celebration-cake-baking-mix.md) - [Mess-Free Eco Craft Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/create-n-colour.md) - [Office Building Rainbow Facades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-rainbow-office.md) - [Playful Modular Mops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wet-mop.md) - [Self-Cleaning Robot Mops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ozmo-roller-mop.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md)
