# Railway Landscape Artwork Katharina Grosse Provides Much Entertainment for Train Passengers By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-05-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/railway-landscape References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/art/katharina-grosse-philadelphias-railway-05-15-2014/) & [katharinagrosse](http://www.katharinagrosse.com/) This [railway landscape artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dongdan-grassland-sea-ruins-station) by Katharina Grosse sees the potential beauty in areas that people pass by when riding on the trains. Instead of just leaving these spaces bare, she's updated them with some [vibrant colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craig-karl2) to keep people entertained. The project is being done in Philadelphia, with a total of seven installations being done for the project. According to DesignBoom, "framed through the windows of the moving train, the large-scale public artwork generates a real-time landscape painting that explores shifting scale, perspective and the passage of time." What's great about the work is that people don't have to go to a museum or institution to see it, but can enjoy it on their daily commute. It's also pretty hard to miss considering the coloring is done in a bright pink shade.
