# Nature-Blended Abodes Villa Yarze by Raed Abillama is Integrated with its Surroundings By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-04-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raed-abillama References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/04/01/villa-yarze-by-raed-abillama-architects/) & [raarchitects](http://www.raarchitects.com/) Some houses are designed to stand out on the block, but other architects choose to go with a much more subtle design such as this one by Raed Abillama Architects. The [Villa Yarze](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-prakriti-biophilic) is located in Lebanon, and blends in well with the natural brown and earthy colorings. The architects made the most of the pre-existing space, and tried to adjust the design by going with a more open-concept area. The result is a spacious interior, which is even complete with a pool on the outside. For the landscape, the designers used shrubbery and trees found in the area, so nothing looks out of place. As such the house as a whole works well with the [natural setting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 51% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nature-inspired Architecture:** The trend is for architects to draw from natural landscapes to create buildings that are greener and blend in seamlessly with their surroundings. - **Sustainable Buildings:** Architects and designers are increasingly looking for ways to create environmentally-friendly structures that are integrated with their environment. - **Open-concept Living:** More and more, architects are exploring the use of open spaces to create a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living areas. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Architects are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the trend towards nature-inspired buildings and sustainable designs. - **Real Estate:** Developers and real estate agents who embrace sustainable living and eco-friendly homes will appeal to the growing number of buyers who value a connection to nature. - **Landscape Design:** Landscape architects and designers can work collaboratively with architects to create outdoor spaces that complement the natural beauty of their surroundings, resulting in a cohesive design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Biophilic Mountain Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-prakriti-biophilic.md) - [Landscape-Integrated Hill Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-av.md) - [Nature-Rooted Family Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haus-am-lagnesberg.md) - [Natural Landscape-Surrounding Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/under-the-rain-trees.md) - [Bamboo-Clad Residential Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/open-park-villa.md) - [Organic Coastal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diachok-architects.md) - [Cliffside Minimalist Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa.md) - [Nature-Leveraging Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-caoba.md) - [Wavy Concrete Roof-Topped Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaazh-house.md)
