Balloons are synonymous with parties and fun, which is why this artwork is so exciting to view. The piece hangs from the ceiling in a long bulbous column, looking very much like a sculpture made entirely out of balloons. However, Symbiont is actually made out of plastic spheres in different sizes and colors that all have a light within them. They are essentially [giant light bulbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light) all connected together just like a string of oversized Christmas lights. The light shining through the Radim Pekarek Symbiont installation sends a multicolored glow around the room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Light Art Installations:** Opportunity for artists to create immersive and visually stunning light installations in various spaces. - **Interactive Sculptures:** The integration of lights and interactivity in sculptures offers a new way to engage with art and surroundings. - **Sustainable Lighting Solutions:** Exploring eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient lighting systems to create visually appealing installations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can create innovative light installations to enhance spaces and evoke emotions. - **Event Planning and Entertainment:** Event planners and entertainment companies can incorporate unique light sculptures to create memorable experiences for attendees. - **Lighting and Electrical:** The lighting industry can develop eco-friendly lighting solutions for art installations, focusing on energy efficiency and aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Immersive Balloon Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-story-popup.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md) - [Inflatable Vibrant Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-dancer.md) - [Sculptural Biomaterial Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wevolve-labs.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Artful Garden Inflatable Spheres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/this-is-air.md) - [Balloon-Like Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-blown.md) - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md)
