Described as 'metabolic architecture' by the mastermind behind it, the [Hyzolic series](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hylozoic-ground) is absolutely mind-boggling. The structures look like alien eggs. It is this futuristic feature that gives the organic creations a surreal appeal. Made out of metals, glass and polymers, Radiant Soil by Philip Beesley also boasts [motion-tracking and touch sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radius-transformation-pavilion) in order to react to viewers' motions. If touched, the structures quiver as soft air moves through its pores. When it detects movement, the LED lights flash and ripple. Currently on display at the EDF Fondation in Paris, France, Radiant Soil by Philip Beesley "a step toward a new, more immersive paradigm of architectural language," as noted by [The Verge](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canva-2). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Metabolic Architecture:** Exploring the potential of architecture that mimics organic processes to create immersive experiences. - **Futuristic Design:** Creating designs that appear alien-like and embody a surreal, whimsical aesthetic. - **Interactive Installations:** Incorporating motion-tracking sensors and touch interactions to engage viewers in unique ways. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** Opportunity to revolutionize the field by blurring the boundaries between art, technology, and nature. - **Art Exhibitions:** Potential for immersive installations that captivate and challenge visitors' perceptions of space and form. - **Interior Design:** Innovation opportunity to create interactive and transformative spaces that offer new levels of sensorial engagement. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Blooming Clustered Art Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/structural-botany.md) - [Kinetic Interaction Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transmutation-observatory.md) - [Living Structure-Based Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canada-pavilion.md) - [Interactive Architectural Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape.md) - [Futuristic Retail Kinetic Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retail-kinetic-display.md) - [Sculptural Biomaterial Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wevolve-labs.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Floating Canopy Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piloti-canopy.md) - [Biophilic Garden Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-organism-lights.md)
