# Pivoting Peg Hatracks The RACK Coat Rack Has Hooks That Revolve Around to Cater to Your Clutter By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-11-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-coatrack References: [ollimustikainen](http://www.ollimustikainen.com/) It might look quite basic at a glance but the RÄCK Coatrack actually has a rather compelling design. It rises up stiff and straight like a stalk of bamboo, but it offers several places to suspend various articles in a way that's more accommodating than most coat hooks. Close observation will show you that the thin black bands around the top of the birch wood post have little upturned pegs sticking out of them. These small components are laser-cut steel and they've been set up to [spin around](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-shoe-rack) so that you can face the [clothes hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charity-hanger) to whichever direction you desire. This can be particularly helpful to balance out the disproportionate distribution of [bulky outerwear and smaller accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multi-hanger). The RÄCK Coatrack might be minimalist, but it's more flexible than most. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Coat Racks:** Creating coat racks with modular components that can be repositioned to cater to different needs and preferences. - **Flexible Storage Solutions:** Developing storage solutions that can adapt to varying sizes and types of items to maximize functionality and convenience. - **Customizable Home Organization:** Offering customizable home organization products that allow users to personalize their storage options based on their specific needs and preferences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating innovative designs and features into furniture pieces to provide more versatile and practical solutions for consumers. - **Interior Design:** Exploring new ways to integrate functional and aesthetically pleasing storage solutions into interior spaces for improved organization. - **Home Decor:** Creating home decor products that combine style and functionality, offering consumers practical and attractive options for organizing their belongings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Open-Concept Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte-clothes-hanger-rack.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Pull-Up Bar-Integrated Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rak.md) - [Wall-Mounted Wall Rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velto.md) - [Sporty Climbing-Inspired Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grip-hanger.md) - [Chinese Character-Shaped Coat Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resting-coat-rack.md) - [Rotating Desktop Peg Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ropeg-360.md) - [Geometrically Shaped Hanger Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-hanger.md) - [Convenience-Focused Rotating Shoe Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-shoe-rack.md)
