This stove was handmade from an old gas bottle and stands 28 inches high. I have a wood burning stove back home and it is nowhere near as cool as the R2D2 Wood Burning Stove. This stove is perhaps one of the greatest examples of upcycling ever. The cherry on top of all of this Star Wars goodness is that this stove is currently for sale! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Upcycled Home Appliances:** The trend of upcycling household items like gas bottles into unique appliances, such as the R2D2 Wood Burning Stove, provides opportunities for disrupting the traditional manufacturing and sales of home appliances. - **Nerdy Home Decor:** The popularity of unique and novel home decor, like the R2D2 Wood Burning Stove, opens up opportunities for disrupting the traditional home decor market. - **Sustainable Heating Solutions:** The trend of finding sustainable heating solutions, like using wood-burning stoves instead of electric heaters or gas furnaces, creates opportunities for disrupting the traditional heating industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliances Industry:** Incorporating the trend of upcycling household items into unique appliances, such as the R2D2 Wood Burning Stove, could lead to disruptive innovation in the manufacturing and sales of home appliances. - **Home Decor Industry:** The trend of unique and novel home decor, like the R2D2 Wood Burning Stove, offers opportunities for disrupting the traditional home decor market. - **Heating Industry:** Finding sustainable heating solutions, like using wood-burning stoves instead of electric heaters or gas furnaces, creates opportunities for disrupting the traditional heating industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stainless Steel Modular Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-stainlesssteel.md) - [Spinning Flame Space Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terracotta-heater.md) - [Moder Stove Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moder-stove.md) - [Cooking Oil-Powered Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bio-heater.md) - [Non-Electric Pellet Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wiseway-gw1949-pellet-stove.md) - [Connected Pellet Heater Stoves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-pellet-stove.md) - [Mythical Creature Humidifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-dragon-cast-iron-wood-stove-steamer.md) - [Industrially Designed Outdoor Heaters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-patio-heater.md) - [Mid-Century-Inspired Wood-Burning Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodburning-appliance.md)
