Next to Jedi and Sith Lords, the [droids that stand by Luke Skywalker](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/g1t4m1n1-droid) are among the most popular characters in the [world of Star Wars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray). Now you can own one of them in the form of the R2-D2 USB Flash Drive. The device is made out of silicone for protection that has been colored and detailed with the body of the miniature droid. Remove the head and that's where you'll find the USB stick. This is available in 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB capacities. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Character-themed USB Drives:** Opportunity for businesses to create USB drives based on popular characters from movies, TV shows, and video games. - **Silicone Protective Cases for USB Drives:** Opportunity for businesses to create a variety of silicone protective cases for USB drives. - **Miniature Droid Figurines:** Opportunity for businesses to create miniature droid figurines based on characters from Star Wars and other sci-fi franchises. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for consumer electronics companies to produce character-themed USB drives and protective cases. - **Toy and Collectibles:** Opportunity for toy and collectibles companies to produce miniature droid figurines based on characters from sci-fi franchises. - **Retail:** Opportunity for retail businesses to sell character-themed USB drives, silicone protective cases, and miniature droid figurines. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Laser Sword Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seagate-lightsaber-collection-firecuda-ssd.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-discovery-flash-drives.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Gamer SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/external-ssd-drives.md) - [Sci-Fi-Branded Special-Edition Earbuds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-technica-r2-d2.md) - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Galactic Robot-Inspired Puzzle Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-r2d2.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Movie-Inspired Digi-Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tamagotchi.md) - [Celebratory Sci-Fi Tech Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-g-return-of-the-jediinspired-collection.md)
