# Anime Quilled Paper Characters Aimie Holdorf Rolled Paper into Cute Pokemon Creations By Sarah Dos Santos | Published 2014-04-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quilled-paper References: [whatanart](http://whatanart.com/2014/03/31/quilled-paper-pokemon-aimie-holdorf/) & [wholedwarf.deviantart](http://wholedwarf.deviantart.com/) Artist Aimie Holdorf created these adorable Pokémon characters using a quilling technique. This [paper art technique](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-series) involved rolling, shaping and gluing together strips of paper to create different decorative pieces. These cute [animé characters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/king-ice-x-pokmon) are the end result of this tedious process. The artist is truly creative, as she has a variety of other quilling pieces in her gallery. She has done decorative designs for letters of the alphabet featuring tiny roses, leaves and animals. Her gallery also features a lot of Pokémon characters. These designs look so detailed and proportioned, but you can tell a lot of time and effort was put into making them look so good. This is certainly a project for someone who is careful and creative with their hands -- these quilled paper designs are masterpieces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Quilling Art:** The trend of quilling art is on the rise as it offers a simple yet innovative way of creating masterpieces out of paper. - **Anime Art:** The anime art trend is expanding into the world of paper art, offering a unique and creative way of expressing fandom. - **DIY Craft:** The DIY craft trend is growing as more people are finding joy in creating unique and personalized items using various techniques, such as quilling. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art Supplies:** The art supplies industry can tap into the growing trend of quilling art by offering specialized tools and materials for quilling enthusiasts. - **Anime Merchandise:** The anime merchandise industry can offer a new line of quilled paper character products to cater to anime fans looking for unique and creative ways to express fandom. - **Craft Education:** The craft education industry can offer workshops and classes on different paper art techniques, such as quilling, to cater to those who seek to learn and explore new creative hobbies. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Anime Creature-Inspired Exhibition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokmon-crafts-exhibition.md) - [Elevated Anime-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-pokmon-mosaic-collection.md) - [Anime-Themed Office Stamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showa-note-pikachu-date-stamps.md) - [Anime-Themed Home Decor Items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokemon-and-karimoku.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Eroded Cartoon-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystalized-squirtle.md) - [Anime Creature-Inspired Crystalized Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anime-creatureinspired-crystalized-sculpture.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md)
