The announcement was made by Tom Conard, the Chief Product Officer, who released the information via Twitter. Tom Conard also indicated that the organization will release a similar feature for Android users, where they can Chrome cast content to larger screens. Chromecast capabilities are expected to be available to users around June. The Quibi app was initially designed a platform to showcase mobile content, however, the new feature can be seen as an added capability. The platform was imagined as a way for users to consumer quick content, however giving consumers more options may help the company attract subscribers.
