Featuring a simple base and outfitted with a series of slats that can be turned either direction, the lamp allows you to switch up the look whenever you desire without having to settle for static options on the market. The 'Quetzal Lamp' is the design work of Marc Venot for Missana and also enables the colored slats to be replaced for other ones as required or desired for style preferences. This acknowledges the growing shift towards customization within the consumer goods market as shoppers look to maximize their purchases. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Customization of Consumer Goods:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' reflects the trend of consumers seeking personalized and customizable products. - **Color-changing Lighting:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' taps into the trend of color-changing lighting, providing users with the ability to alter the appearance and functionality of the lamp. - **Replaceable Inserts:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' highlights the trend of replaceable inserts, allowing users to easily switch up the look and style of their lighting. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' is a disruptive innovation opportunity within the home decor industry, offering consumers a customizable and unique lighting solution. - **Furniture:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the furniture industry by providing a customizable lighting option that complements various interior design styles. - **Lighting:** The 'Quetzal Lamp' opens up disruptive innovation opportunities within the lighting industry, introducing a unique product that allows users to change the color and functionality of their lighting with ease. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Industrial Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-modular-lamp.md) - [Laser-Cut Customization Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saya-light.md) - [Ultra-Customized Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kala-lamp.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Customizable Magnetic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-magnetic-lamp.md) - [Sleek Tonal Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quesar.md) - [Customizable Hexagonal Desk Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cololight-plus-hexagon-light-kit.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md)
