Whether a person loves animals, [whimsical doodles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface) or [playful art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons) in general, this series of work will connect with them on various levels. Although described as collages by Design Taxi, Quentin Horn's work is more like intricate drawings. The idea of a collage comes from the fact that these [animal portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet) are made up of tiny doodles. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Quentin Horn is an artist and graphic designer who would doodle in his notebook filled with to-do lists and client briefs. Design Taxi writes, "It was only after scanning and compiling individual doodles into a larger picture when he realised that they added depth and brought definition to the larger image. This work now sees each individual doodle as a “brush stroke” that adds up into wonderful collages of animals and natural scenes." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Whimsical Doodling:** Creating intricate and playful art through doodling techniques can engage and captivate a wide audience. - **Collage Art:** Exploring the use of tiny doodles to construct larger images opens up possibilities for unique and visually appealing collage art. - **Graphic Design:** Incorporating doodles into graphic design projects can add depth and bring definition to the overall composition. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can leverage doodled animal drawings to create appealing and engaging products, such as prints, merchandise, or book illustrations. - **Publishing:** The publishing industry can consider incorporating doodled animal drawings in books, magazines, and other media to create visually captivating content that appeals to a wide audience. - **Advertising and Marketing:** Incorporating doodled animal drawings in branding, advertisements, and marketing campaigns can bring a whimsical and playful touch to attract and engage consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Art Doodle-Collaborative Napkins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tissue-box-collection.md) - [Whimsically Designed Hotel Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cowley-manor-experimental.md) - [Asymmetric Linework-Based Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodle-collection.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Cheekily Creative Bookmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illustrated-bookmarks.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Realistic Sketch-Reflective Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series.md) - [Image Stylization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodlify.md) - [AI Art Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodle2life.md)
