Designer Lefteris Tsampikakis has based the shape and structure of this [unique stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool) on the theory of quantum mechanics.

The design of the 'Illusive Stool' is actually based upon the illustrated structure of an atomic particle, complete with electrons orbiting a nucleus. Made from a series of basic geometric shapes constructed from [wood and steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stamping-chair), this quantum mechanic stool is simple yet unique in its overall structure -- much like the actual construction of the basic atom.

Depending on the angle, different elements of the stool are revealed to form an [optical illusion for viewers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoom-chair). The complex yet simple nature of this orbital piece of furniture makes for a striking and thought-provoking piece of home decor.
