The Quantum Man sculpture is aptly titled since it is clearly inspired by physics. Aside from the fact that it sounds like a superhero name, the Quantum Man sculpture plays with the viewer's mind and senses in a very straightforward and clever manner. Made from multiple sliced steel parts, it is arranged in a manner that, from certain angles, seems to make it disappear from sight.

Created by Julian Voss-Andreae, the 8-foot Quantum Man sculpture is impressive for a number of reasons. On a scientific level, it is easy to see the Quantum Man as "a metaphor for the wave-particle duality, the phenomenon that all matter exhibits wave-like or particle-like properties depending on the experimental question we ask," as the artist puts it.
