# Boss-Controlled Robots The QB from Anybots is a Mobile Video Conference By Michael Hines | Published 2010-05-23 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qb-from-anybots References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2010/05/holy-crap-weve-1.php) & [anybots](http://anybots.com/#front) The QB from Anybots is an awesome solution for bosses who are on the go, but also want to maintain a presence (albeit a creepy one) in the office. This robot is controlled by a keyboard and comes equipped with a camera and microphone for total immersion in the office. The QB from Anybots seems like a great idea on the surface. I just don't know how well it would go over in an office. Having a walking and talking robot zipping around the office might take a little while to get used to. Watch the video above to see the QB from Anybots in action and decide for yourself. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [AI](https://www.trendhunter.com/ai) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Remote-controlled Robots:** Opportunities for developing and improving new robotic products that offer remote control functionalities. - **Video-conferencing Robots:** Opportunities for developing and improving new robotic products that offer mobile video-conferencing capabilities. - **Virtual Presence Solutions:** Opportunities for creating virtual presence solutions that mimic physical presence in a remote environment. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Robotics:** This trend is relevant to the robotics industry, specifically those developing mobile video-conferencing robots. - **Telecommunications:** This trend provides opportunities for the telecommunications industry to innovate in mobile video-conferencing solutions. - **Remote Work Solutions:** This trend is relevant to companies offering remote work solutions, providing a new way for employees to stay virtually present in the office. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adorable Miniature Security Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ebo-x-robot.md) - [Physical Video Call Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-meeting-controller.md) - [Remote-Controlled Humanoid Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mimi-humanoid-robot.md) - [Conversation-Muting Audio Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-robot.md) - [AI-Powered Wheeled Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-2.md) - [AI-Enhanced Desktop Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desktop-robots.md) - [Diminutive DIY Desktop Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-desktop-robot.md) - [Rolling Pet Connectivity Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freshrobot-rollbot.md) - [Smart Home Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ebo-x.md)
